people who are lovely, or wonderful, or interesting, or just here right now today.
in this moment. for whatever reason, whatever connection, in this time when we cling to those whose name we remember, in these times, when the small connection we have makes it important enough to hold tight to this moment cus we're here and we need to share it.
i love you, i do. the city thrives on you, counts on you, hoping you'll have that last whiskey drink on a sunday night. it counts on you, as do i.

oh what a day.
workday was sufficiently busy with random calls from china
it was sunny
there was over a foot of snow on the ground
bought 3 records from reckless: no age, the walkmen w/calla, and woods
the violet hour for a tom and jerry with ash (make note vh only serves tom and jerry's when there's over a foot of snow on the ground)
on the way home, called the p's and reconciled
i remembered the bottle of jack in the cupboard
it slowly began to disappear

just discovered leonard cohen's blue raincoat. can't get enough of it. SO glad i have it on vinyl. this is just too fun. ordered toumani diabante today. got tix for rgc!

i didn't know i'm not invincible

So about hmm. oh 15 years ago when i worked at a record store. yes i'm that old. i decided that all the money i get from my taxes is going to go to buy new music. This year, i am going to do the same thing. Today i'm going to get a new needle for my record player and i'm going to listen to my records. Finally. Damn it 2010 is going to be even better than the 2nd half of 2009 so help me!
